Christian
Education
For All Ages
Regular Christian Education Hour is from 10:45
a.m. to 11:45 a.m. each Sunday following our morning worship service. This schedule is during the school year. During the summer (mid-June through August)
programs are announced. Other times may also be utilized for special programs.
We
welcome all children and adults to join us any Sunday as a registered student or as
visitors.
Sunday School is designed for children, from pre-kindergarten through grade 6th.
They are exposed to age related classes engaging in Bible lessons, music and crafts.
The curriculum follows liturgical readings for each Sunday of the church calendar
while being sensitive to biblical stories and the basics of Lutheranism. Special programs are presented for the major
festivals of the Church. The children learn about the Sacrament of Holy Communion is
a part of each year's program. During these
years they have the opportunity to participate in instructions for receiving the sacrament
for the first time.
CONFIRMATION MINISTRY is the comprehensive series
of classes designed to lead those in the 7th grader and above to their
Affirmation of Holy Baptism or Confirmation. In addition to regular participation in
worship and Sunday morning classes, there are given opportunity for community service, a
weekday class hour and involvement in youth group activities beyond the congregation.

Adult Classes include a variety of opportunities for
short-term topical studies that offer learning experiences as well as discussions on
biblical texts. Other items of interest will
be offered as desired by the participants that are led by the pastor, members of the
congregation and occasional visiting speakers. Each series is about 4-6 weeks and
new opportunities are announced regularly.
