Third
Evangelical Lutheran Church has served the Rhinebeck community since
1849. We are in partnership with 11,000 congregations, 28 Lutheran
colleges and universities, 8 seminaries, 350 world-wide missionaries,
Lutheran Social Services of Metropolitan N.Y.
and Lutheran World Relief;
all ministries of the 5.2 million member Evangelical Lutheran Church in America(ELCA).
LOCAL AFFILIATIONS
The three ELCA churches in Northern Dutchess County: Memorial Lutheran Church, Rhinebeck (Rock City); St.
Paul’s Lutheran Church, Red Hook, and Third Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rhinebeck have joined together to
form a three point parish. The new parish is known as The Lutheran
Parish of Northern Dutchess.
